Meet Teresa Wood-Hansen
Teresa Wood-Hansen spent many years working as a physical therapist before stepping into a new chapter as a children’s book author. Her debut book, Mary Grace and Snowflake’s Wishes, was inspired by a real moment shared with her granddaughters and reflects her love for family, imagination, and meaningful memories.

She lives in Chico, California with her husband Ray and their dog, Skippy. A descendant of the pioneer Hupp family, Teresa’s roots in Butte County trace back to the Gold Rush of the 1850s.
Teresa is a proud mother to two sons, Patrick and Kyle, and a devoted grandmother to Jack, Cecilia, Mary Grace, and Henry, who bring her endless joy and inspiration. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and photography, always finding beauty in the world around her.
She finds beauty in everyday life, in quiet moments, shared laughter, and memories that stay with us. It’s this sense of appreciation that carries into everything she creates and shares.
